Additionally, the conference offers an opportunity to network with various vendors of vehicles, equipment and other items and services pertinent to ground ambulance service providers, as well as to network with peers in the ground ambulance service industry. Last but not least, on the first night of the conference, the annual “EMS Party” is held which includes good food, good fellowship and good entertainment!
The Lobby Day & Legislative Summit, which is traditionally held in April or May of each year, provides ISAA members with an opportunity to become engaged in the legislative and regulatory process. This is accomplished by members visiting the State Capitol in Springfield and participating in activities, including meeting with members of the General Assembly regarding issues which impact ground ambulance providers in Illinois.

Advocacy on Statewide Legislative and Regulatory Issues
ISAA members have the opportunity to be part of the legislative and regulatory process through participation with the Government Affairs and Reimbursement Committee. Some examples of ISAA initiatives which have recently been signed into law are the stretcher van statute and the appeals process for NETSPAP providers.
